At Walvis Bay Primary School, Grades 4 to 7 are taught by qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers. The medium of instruction is English, and we follow the Namibian curriculum.

We offer the following subjects:
-
Afrikaans First and Second Language (Grade 4-7):
Learners participate annually in the ATKV debating competition, the Griffel competition and various other language competitions.
-
English as a First and Second Language (Grade 4-7):
Learners take part in the Spelling Bee competition, which helps improve their language proficiency in a fun and engaging way.
-
Mathematics:
Additional activities are incorporated into the curriculum to deepen learners’ understanding of the subject. Mathematical games make learning new concepts enjoyable while reinforcing previously covered material.
-
Natural Science:
In Grades 4 - 7, learners participate in the Science Fair, where they research assigned topics. The top ten projects in each grade advance to the Circuit Science Fair and the best projects are selected to compete at the National Science Fair.
-
Social Studies:
This subject provides learners with an understanding of the history of Namibia, neighboring countries and the world, as well as geography. Practical activities and projects help bring these topics to life.
-
Home Ecology:
This subject equips learners with practical skills to create craft items they can sell, encouraging entrepreneurship. It also promotes healthy lifestyle habits and teaches them how to manage household resources effectively.
-
Design and Technology:
Learners acquire practical skills to produce craft items for sale, fostering entrepreneurship. The curriculum emphasizes safety and the proper use of tools as essential knowledge.
-
Culture:
We encourage learners to explore their creative sides by participating in various cultural activities, such as art, dance, and poetry. These activities help nurture their talents and confidence. We also participate in the annual NAPSO Culture week and as a school we perform excellent, as some of our learners receive diamond awards.
As a school we strive to cater holistically to each individual learner.
