Junior Primary
At Walvis Bay Primary School, Grades R to 3 are taught by qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers in both Afrikaans and English.

With small classes, the focus is on providing individual attention to every learner. While we follow the Namibian curriculum, supplementary work is done where necessary. The Junior Primary phase of Walvis Bay Primary School is renowned for fostering excellent mathematics, reading and writing skills in our learners.
We have both Afrikaans and English phases, each overseen by a dedicated Head of Department (HOD) for Grades R to 3.

We place great value on each learner's social and emotional well-being. On a daily basis, we emphasize character traits such as caring, respect, trustworthiness, citizenship, integrity and responsibility to ensure we nurture well-rounded and responsible learners for the Senior Primary phase.

Our holistic approach to education includes various extracurricular activities. In sports, learners can participate in hockey, netball, rugby, cricket, mini-tennis and athletics. Additionally, they can engage in culture, chess, debating and art competitions. In our well-equipped library, learners are encouraged to read regularly and discover the wonderful world of books.

Ensuring that every learner feels safe and happy at school is a priority for us. Teachers focus daily on the emotional well-being of each learner and lessons are presented in an enjoyable and engaging manner. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere is maintained in all classes.
Furthermore, every grade participates in at least one educational or fun trip per semester to broaden their horizons.
