All our learners are welcome at the LWB Aftercare Centre. We accommodate small groups of Grade 1–7 learners.

The purpose of the Aftercare Centre is to provide a learning and homework facility for learners whose parents work full-time and cannot provide proper supervision at home. Our centre ensures that children receive professional assistance with their learning and homework after school hours.

​

We are more than just an aftercare centre - we are a big family that cares for each other. Located on the school premises, we offer learners the opportunity to attend extracurricular activities and sports offered by the school, complete their homework, work on projects and socialize with their peers.

The homework centre aims to provide a valuable service. We offer a safe and relaxed environment for our learners, with adequate supervision and assistance with their homework. Our team is committed to upholding Christian values, discipline and respect.

How is homework handled?

Homework diaries are checked and signed daily and assistance is provided during exam preparation.

 

What are your hours?

• Aftercare / homework classes:

  • Monday - Thursday​

  • Grade 1-7

  • 14:00 - 16:30: Study/homework class

  • 16:30 - 17:15: Playground under supervision

  • N$ 900 p/m

• Supervision class

  • Grade 1-7 (already enrolled)​

  • Only Fridays

  • 13:00 - 17:00

  • No extra cost

• Waiting class (playground under supervision)

  • Monday - Friday

  • 12:00 - 13:00: Grade R - 3

  • 13:00 - 14:00: Grade 4 - 7

  • N$120 p/m

 

Parents must collect their children at the netball courts before 17:15.

Barbara van Zyl, our dedicated aftercare facilitator, brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her passion lies in nurturing children and helping them grow into the best versions of themselves. She fondly calls the learners her "children," as they become a cherished part of her life throughout the year.
